Service Description

What is QUILTING and why is it important? Quilting is the process of sewing together layers of fabric, typically consisting of a top layer, batting (for insulation), and a backing layer, to create a quilt. It is important because it serves both functional and artistic purposes. Quilts provide warmth and comfort, and they are often used as decorative items or heirlooms, showcasing craftsmanship and creativity. Quilting also fosters community and tradition, as it is often shared among groups or passed down through generations. Learn to Series: Quilt Blocks, with instructor, Vera Fernandes. The class teaches skill building as you learn quilting tips and techniques. In the 3-part series class you will learn the foundation of making a quilt block, rulers, power cutting, focus fabric, seams-open vs closed, color palette, block grids and layout as well as creating a quilt from blocks and more.
